Saman Dance

The Saman dance was one of the Acehinese regional dances that was most famous at this time.
This dance came from the Gayo plateau.
The poem saman utilised Arabic and the Acehinese language.
In the past, the Saman Dance is usually put forward to celebrate the incident - the important incident in the tradition and the Acehinese community.
Moreover usually this dance is also put forward to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
In fact the "Saman" name was received from one of the big Acehinese Muslim scholars, Syech Saman.
The Saman dance is usually put forward used the accompaniment of the musical instrument, took the form of the drum and used the voice from the dancers and their applause who usually are combined by striking the chest and their hip as synchronisation and slamming the body to various directions.
This dance was guided by one of his usual leaders was acknowledged as Syech.
Because the uniformity of the formation and punctuality were an obligation in putting forward this dance, then the dancers were prosecuted to have the high concentration and the serious exercise in order to be able to appear completely.
This dance was carried out in groups, while singing with the position sat surrendered and lined up/bersaf without using the escort's musical instrument.
Because of the dynamism of his movement, this dance many dibawak/was danced by the men, but the development now this dance is often danced by the female dancer and the mixture between the man's dancer and the female dancer.
This dance was danced by approximately 10 people, with details 8 dancers and 2 people as the command giver while singing.
